Description:
This tropical beauty originates from Colombia and is a beauty to behold. With its beautiful white-spotted leaves, it is a real asset to any living room. The Philodendron White Princess has a sturdy stem and close together oval shaped leaves.
The chance of more white in the leaves increases with age. Its appearance will change with every new leaf.
Philodendron White Princess is an easy plant that requires little attention. It grows and blooms easily in the living room. With the right care, it can grow to a height of 1 metre.
Because its white parts of the leaf do not contain any chlorophyll, it likes to be placed in a bright spot where it gets a lot of indirect light. Do not place Philodendron White Princess in direct sunlight, as this can damage the plant. When its leaves start to turn yellow, this can be a sign that it gets too much light. If its stems are long-legged, it may not be getting enough light.
Philodendron White Princess likes to stand in a moist, well-drained soil. Do not give it too much water, or its roots may rot. When the upper 2 to 3 centimetres of the soil feel dry, it is time to water. In warm periods it needs more water than in cold periods. When its leaves start drooping, it is often a sign that its water needs are not being met.
The ideal temperature for Philodendron White Princess is between 18°C and 23°C. The ideal air humidity for this plant is between 60 and 80%. This can be achieved by using a humidifier.
In the spring and summer months, you can give the plant some fertiliser every month. In the autumn, this can be reduced to once every 6 to 8 weeks. In winter, feeding is not necessary. By giving nutrition you support the plant in growth and health.
