Description:
This beautiful Philodendron Burle Marx variegata originates from the tropical jungles of Brazil and owes its name to landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx.
It is a low-growing tropical plant with elongated heart-shaped leaves. The beautifully shaped, variegated leaves make this plant a real eye-catcher.
A Philodendron Burle Marx variegata can grow green leaves in between. These come from a growing point which does not contain variegation, but because a Burle Marx variegata is not dependent on one growing point it will not get the upper hand and variegation can still be formed from another growing point.
The Philodendron Burle Marx variegata is an easy tropical plant which is very suitable to keep as a houseplant. It can grow to a height of 60 centimetres and its leaves can be up to 25 centimetres long.
It prefers moderately moist, well-drained soil. Do not give it too much water, however, or its roots may rot. The warmer it is, the more water it will need. This beautiful tropical plant likes to stand in bright indirect sunlight. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight to prevent leaf damage.
The ideal temperature for Philodendron Burle Marx variegata lies between 16°C and 26°C. The humidity should preferably be above 50%. Under these conditions, it can reach its optimal growth. To keep the humidity level high, you could use a humidifier in the room where the plant is located.
