In our nursery we have various forms of one plant. Plants are living beings and so they are sometimes different. Variations in colour and size are therefore possible.

Description:

The paphiopedilum praestans is very popular, because it is an easy but rare orchid that also remains compact. So it is a nice asset for the orchid collector, who would like to dress the room without putting too much effort into the care.

This orchid can tolerate a humidity of 50% to 85%, with the summer being more humid than winter. The orchid feels the tastiest at room temperature. But the temperature may also be a bit higher. In the winter the temperature may drop to 17 degrees Celsius and in the night the temperature in the winter may even drop to at least 10 degrees Celsius. When this is done, the natural living conditions are simulated and blooms stimulate.

This orchid likes to be in a lot of indirect sunlight. But don't put it in too bright light, because then the leaves turn yellow and the plant will be damaged. Put too dark ensures that the plant will not bloom.

Normal orchid food can be used to stimulate flowering. Then rinse the substrate once a month with rainwater, so that and minerals would not build up.
