Please note! This is a fresh cutting.
A very easy Philodendron to grow and keep indoors is the Philodendron domesticum. This fantastic plant has elongated/heart-shaped leaves with a beautiful variegated pattern. This variegata is characterised by the colours yellow, white and natural green. The final variegata will only be visible after some time, when the young leaves have hardened.
This beauty does not have many demands. With a desired temperature between 18°C and 25°C and an air humidity between 40% and 60% it can find a place in almost every living room. Make sure that this spot receives plenty of indirect light and no direct light.
To guarantee good growth, it is also important to provide this plant with an airy soil mixture. By mixing perlite, bark or both into the soil, the mixture will have more structure and it will allow more air and water to pass through. During the growth period, extra liquid fertiliser can be added to the watering. In winter, this is not necessary and the plant itself needs less water.
One of the most common problems in caring for Philodendrons is over- or under-watering, which can cause root rot. Make sure, therefore, that you do not water again until the soil has dried out well at the top. A well-drained soil also prevents root rot, as it prevents water from getting to the roots.
Because it is a cutting, it is much more sensitive than a complete plant. Shipping is therefore always at your own risk.
We place our cuttings in a test tube for shipping.
